Elsha Leventis: Stepping into Blog

Born in Amsterdam, I am a graduate of the University of Toronto, TMU, OCADU and the Toronto Art Therapy Institute, and have been a practising artist primarily in Toronto’s Distillery District for more than twenty years.

Elsha Leventis | contemporary artist

Elsha Leventis. Since graduating from OCAD’s Drawing and Painting program in , Dutch-born Toronto artist Elsha Leventis (nee Brommet) has been inspired by the intricate landscape of the eye. Her work is informed by pointillism, Ken Noland’s circle paintings, Jasper Johns’s targets, and Ross Bleckner’s organic abstracts.

Elsha Leventis - Blue Crow Gallery Elsha Leventis has focussed for 18 years on abstracting the eye in oil on Mylar; she is currently exploring artistic flow through the flow of water in dramatic monochromatic acrylic on wood panels.
